What do these numbers mean?
Download speed
How fast things reach you. An HD stream wants 3–4 Mbps; a 4K stream 10–25 Mbps. Every plan we sell streams comfortably — higher tiers are for many screens, big downloads, and heavy work-from-home.
Upload speed
How fast things leave your home — video calls, cloud backups, sending photos. Outbound video wants 2–4 Mbps per call. A healthy upload also keeps ordinary browsing snappy.
Latency
The round-trip time for a single message. Lower is snappier — it’s what makes gaming and video calls feel instant. Our Wave plans run 3–6 ms to the edge of our network; anywhere in the continental US usually stays under 70 ms.
